a magazine FOR ALL

Round The Block is more than just a magazine - it's the voice of Bell Block, ProDUCeD by locals for our community.

With it's first issue delivered to letterboxes on 1 October 2025, the monthly magazine is filled with local news content celebrating everything that makes our suburb vibrant, diverse and uniquely ours. From community events and local sports to stories of our history, local businesses, and our remarkable people, young and old, who call Bell Block home. The magazine serves to reflect the true spirit of our neighborhood, highlighting the issues that matter most to provide a genuine, trusted look at life on the block.
For all Bell Block residents and businesses that reside at 4312, community notices and events are FREE to list. Please note that there may be limited space, so it is a first served basis before deadline (15th of month prior to print).

Message from the Editor

I had the privilege of working as a Graphic Designer and fill-in Journalist/Photographer for Close 2 Home, Bell Block’s former community newspaper in 2011 until it's final issue in January 2012. Since then, our vibrant suburb has continued to grow rapidly—residentially, commercially, and industrially and has left a gap in our community.

Reviving the community magazine has been a privilege. Others saw my vision and haven't hesitated to support. Round The Block aims to reconnect and strengthen our community through grassroots storytelling. With a combination of volunteer contributors reporting on life in Bell Block, updates from our Puketapu Bell Block Community Board and Puketapu Hapu — our suburb has come together to bring local news back to the people!

This is a community project we can all be proud of - a monthly magazine delivered by keen volunteers to 2,700 mailboxes and many more distributed to our cafes, retirement villages and the Bell Block Library and Service Centre. Round the Block is for the community, by the community, and I’m excited to work alongside you all in bringing this to life.
